| Here is the latest on Warrington. The park is open for use as of December 2003. Free car parking available on site. Go check the newest edition to the concrete revival - this place has serious skin meets concrete scenario written all over it. Check the gallery for the latest pics from John "Hand" Plant (one of the design team none the less) So there. Put that in ya pipe and smoke it homeboy. Victoria Park is off Knutsford Road. About half a mile south east of the town centre.

Advice for others:
Make sure you involve those who are going to use it at a range of levels of ability. Even when you do you may still not please everyone.
Funding isn't easy to come by. Start early in your search. We were fortunate to have four generous funding agencies support Victoria Park.
Make sure any surface fixtures and fittings such as grindrails or fences are truly vandal proof. Otherwise it will go.
Think carefully about corners of concrete features if BMX riders are to use the site. Corners will spall easily.
A three dimensional CAD model is fantastic for visualisation but also helps those who have to build the park. Worth the money. (See Gallery)
